One of the primary reasons life stays interesting in Smith Mountain Lake, Virginia, and all across the world is that each of us was created uniquely. We look different, we have different ideas, we like different foods, we have different skills and gifts, and we enjoy different kinds of leisure activities.

To meet the desires of our widely varied tastes, our community has developed a great diversity of social offerings. You might be surprised to learn that one of your favorite hobbies has a local following you could enjoy participating in. Or take up a brand new one that strikes your fancy. Take a look:

For Quilt Lovers the Lake Quilters Guild is dedicated to the art and joy of quilting and making items for charity. 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of each month except July. Aspiring Writers – open to anyone interested in any form of writing. Exchange information on writing and publishing opportunities.
