The Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy is making good progress toward its plans to open in the fall. The community support has been tremendous. The interest of applicants for teaching positions as well as potential students has been overwhelmingly positive. Deke Andrews, Head of School says they are very thankful for God’s blessing in bringing the seeds of this vision to a place where soon there will be a harvest.
They are currently taking applications for students in grades K-6 and setting up interviews with families who have already submitted applications. These applications should be submitted no later than June 1st. (Applications for teachers are being accepted as well.) You can visit the SMLCA website to download an application or to read more about the Academy.
