General Tips For Summer Activity
- Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty!
- Wear appropriate clothing: Light, loose-fitting, and breathable fabrics are best.
- Protect your skin: Wear hats and lightweight shirts with sleeves, apply safe natural sunscreens with an SPF of 30 or higher.
- Listen to your body: Heatstroke is a real danger on very hot days. If you feel dizzy, nauseous, or faint, let someone else know and immediately go indoors or seek shade, water and rest.
*Always Remember: The very best time to engage in outdoor activities is early morning or late afternoon when the sun is less intense. Even when you are well protected, hydrated and in the shade, when the temperatures are extreme, you can have a heat stroke. Always prioritize safety and listen to your body.
