There’s a restaurant in Bedford that should definitely be on your list to try… Olde Liberty Station. With a gathering of great food including “Southern Line Salads”, paninis, crab cake and Reuben sandwiches, ribs, and quiche in combination with a motif of rich local rail history, this location is an unbeatable place to spend your lunch hour or a nice dinner out and all at very reasonable prices.
Owner and creator of Olde Liberty Station, Harry Leist, is also best known for his tantalizing cheesecake (now shipped anywhere in the US). Harry tells us on his website: I offered a variety of flavors to my restaurant patrons, all of which were enthusiastically received. Time and time again I heard from local customers, as well as guests from all over the country, “This is the best cheesecake I’ve ever eaten!”
The virtues of my cheesecakes have been extolled in newspapers and magazines up and down the East Coast. They have won several awards—most recently, the Best Dessert in the WSLS/News and Advance Celebrity Cookoff—by a unanimous vote!
So if you have an occasion to spend the day around Bedford, stop by Olde Liberty Station… you won’t be disappointed!
Restaurant hours are Monday-Thursday 11 am – 10 pm, Friday 11 am – 11 pm, and Saturday noon-11 pm.
