Sign up for your 2011 Smith Mountain Lake License Plate – The SML Chamber is collecting applications for the new 2011 SML license plate and has less than half of what is needed. They must receive 350 prepaid applications by July 1 to qualify before other requirements can be implemented and the state begins production and distribution of the Smith Mountain Lake license plates. The 2010 Smith Mountain Lake Wine Festival has kicked off early this year with special “early bird pricing.” Taster tickets will be sold for $15 and designated driver tickets for $10, good either day, helping to make the event affordable for everyone. The special discount pricing is in effect until July 5. “Early bird” tickets will be available at the Smith Mountain Lake Visitor Center Front Desk and online at SML Wine Festival Tickets.
