Even though most of us at Smith Mountain Lake would love to keep our “Gem of the Blue Ridge” a secret, we certainly can’t help the fact that with a destination as great as Smith Mountain Lake, we’re going to get some press! Of course, the opportunity to make new friends is definitely a plus as well. I recently read a quick article in the “Martinsville Daily” blog (martinsvilledaily.com) written by Bill Wyatt.
Bill mentions the fact that USAToday (their April 21st edition) had placed Smith Mountain Lake as one of the top 10 places to “float your houseboat.” Now there’s some news we can certainly be proud of! Thank you, Bill, for keeping your eyes on the press and letting us know just what the people think of Smith Mountain Lake!
