Register NOW for the Smith Mountain Lake Business EXPO on Friday, April 25th. It might seem a bit early to be mentioning something more than a month off, but folks at the lake are already getting excited about this upcoming event and limited booths are remaining!
The EXPO is free of charge to the public and will be open from noon until 6:30 PM on April 25th. Free hot dogs, beverages, and chips will be served from noon until 1:30 p.m. There will be great door prizes, lots of networking opportunities, and a sampling from local restaurants served in the evening.
The Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce says this about the Expo:
Talk business. Do business. Celebrate business. That’s what the Business Expo is all about. On Friday, April 25th, from Noon – to 6:30 p.m., Downtown Moneta will be turned into a bustling EXPO of over 150 businesses here at Smith Mountain Lake.
Free lunch is offered to all visitors and last year’s door prizes totaled over $10,000! And, free parking areas are available on site. The Smith Mountain Lake area has a very dynamic business community. New businesses are starting, and existing businesses are changing and expanding, but so many people are unaware of what is available locally. This is the perfect opportunity for all businesses to showcase their products and services to each other and to the public who packs the event. Visitors can stroll through each booth and get to know the local businesses, meet new people, and build relationships.
The Business Expo is a great marketing tool for businesses to reach their customer base and increase the community’s awareness of their services. Last year more than 140 chamber members hosted a booth and enjoyed the benefits of exhibiting.
A “Taste of Smith Mountain Lake” with samplings from area restaurants served at the Expo from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Only 500 advance tickets will be sold. Outlets include Smith Mountain Lake Visitor Center, Fallon’s Restaurant, Virginia Dare, Smith Mountain Coffee & Cafe, Blackwater Cafe, The Landing Restaurant, Chopsticks, and Mariners Landing. Advance tickets are available until 5 p.m. on 4/24. Tickets at the gate will be $7 each.
