It’s great when unusual educational opportunities come and practically knock on our door. Like the courses from Virginia Western Community College currently being offered here at Smith Mountain Lake. The college has gotten the instructors lined up to teach since the community has shown genuine interest, and now they need some students.
The courses being made available to us are Quick Books and Excel Beginner as well as Command Spanish for Retailers. To proceed they need a total of 12 registrants for both Quick Books and Excel and 10 registrants for Command Spanish.
All the classes will be held locally at the Lake Association Offices on Scruggs Road on consecutive Wednesdays and will last either 4 or 5 weeks depending on the class.
